Linear motion is everywhere in packaging and food processing equipment, often working quietly in the background of machines that lift, position, tilt, or adjust product and tooling. Yet the components handling that motion, and why they were chosen, don't always get much attention.
This session walks through packaging and food processing machines currently running in the field, and the linear motion components behind them. We'll look at how screw jacks and actuators are being used to solve positioning, lifting, and adjustment challenges across a range of equipment and packaging environments.
Drawing on practical application examples, we'll break down the requirements each machine builder was solving for, and how Joyce/Dayton jacks and EDrive electric actuators were specified to meet them.
